Frigiliana

Experience the real Spain in a beautiful, historical, white Andalusian village with scenic views to the surrounding mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.

Frigiliana is located 50 km east of Malaga in southern Spain. The village is 330 meters above sea level
and 5 km from the sea.

The village has been awarded the title of the most beautiful and best maintained Andalusian village several times and the antique village is a conservation area
Frigiliana boasts 3 banks, a chemist, and a tourist information office.
There is a market on Thursday mornings where you can purchase local produce and crafts.
Local shops selling linen & lace, basket ware and ceramics are in abundance but you will have to go a little further afield to find larger supermarkets.
There are several restaurants in the village.
Check out the links below for more information on the local area and see some beautiful photographs of the village.

Here's a little local first hand travel information which we hope you will find useful.

Bus from Nerja to Frigiliana.
You pick up the bus on the opposite side of the road to where the Malaga bus drops you. You have the timetable however, I guess you will miss the last bus and need to get a taxi.
When we were there, there were a few taxis in the lay-by near the bus stop, but not sure if that is normal though.

Bus from Frigiliana to Nerja.
You pick up the bus outside Virtudes, which I guess you know anyway.
The bus seems to arrive there about 10 to 15 minutes before it’s due to depart.
